JPS Health Network was ranked number 1 overall out of 3282 hospitals nation-wide in a new ranking system developed collaboratively by Lown Institute and Washington Monthly Magazine for hospitals exhibiting high-end care with efficient/effective health care in 2020. Note that all internship applicants who have received and accepted an offer for Psychology Internship at JPS will be required to undergo a subsequent background check conducted by JPS Human Resources department and 10 panel drug screen via JPS Occupational Health in accordance with JPS policy closer to the start date of the Internship. Any criminal charges/activity noted on the background check, occurring prior to or during the course of the program, could affect the candidate’s eligibility for employment as an Intern. If the 10 panel drug screen returns a positive result to any of its components, the person will not be hired for the specific role. Therefore, the offer of Internship could be rescinded, if either the background check or 10 panel drug screen returns positive results including marijuana or related substances (CBD oil with trace amounts has potential for returning positive results).
