2022 APPIC Match Statistics - Phase II

This report provides statistics and information about Phase II of the 2022 APPIC Match and the submission of applications via the AAPI service in Phase II. Additional statistics may be found in the report of the combined results for Phases I and II of the 2022 APPIC Match.
As compared to last year, there was a decrease in the number of students who were registered for and eligible to participate in Phase II (653 vs. 775 last year, down 16%) and an increase in the number of positions available in Phase II (549 vs. 419 last year, up 31%).
A total of 359 students matched to internship positions in Phase II, while 106 remained unmatched and 188 withdrew or did not submit rankings. A total of 190 positions remained unfilled at the conclusion of Phase II, with 86 (45%) located in accredited programs.
