Drs. Twenge and Sanchez were keynote and plenary speakers planned for the conference and we are delighted to welcome them to provide these 90 minute webinars. Please review our website for further information speakers and learning objectives for the webinars. We will be offering additional programming that was to be presented at the conference in the form of webinars through the winter and the spring. Continuing Education credit is only available to registered participants at live webinars. We hope to gather in 2022 for our next in-person conference.

Presentation learning objectives
This workshop is designed to help you: 

  1. Understand how cultural competency has evolved over time.
  2. Recognize why our current approach to cultural competency training is inefficient.
  3. Understand and explain to other a new model that is rooted in theoretical and empirical science. 
  4. Understand and explain to others, in a practical manner, how to implement this model so that trainees learn skills to effectively communicate and function within any given diverse context or encounter. 
  5. Recognize possible challenges to implementing this skill-based model, as well as, potential ways of circumventing such challenges.
