Description: Our Substance Abuse fellowship emphasizes the interdisciplinary treatment of substance use disorders in conjunction with the Seattle VA's national Center of Excellence in Substance Abuse Treatment and Education (CESATE). The fellow will spend approximately 60-80% time working within interdisciplinary teams providing evidence-based treatments to Veterans with a variety of addictive disorders. Additional time is devoted to didactic seminars, program development and evaluation, and clinical research. The duration of the CESATE fellowship is one year. The possibility of renewal for a second year, following completion of the accredited fellowship, can be considered for fellows with further advanced goals in administration, education or clinical research. Two first-year positions are available.
