The Center for Pediatric Psychiatry at Children’s HealthSM in Dallas, Texas invites applicants for its APA-accredited Postdoctoral Fellowship in Clinical Child Psychology beginning late August, 2025. Six positions total will be available within the Pediatric Health Psychology, Outpatient, or Eating Disorders concentrations:

Eating Disorders Concentration (1 position)

  • Evaluation and treatment of a diverse population of children and adolescents with a range of eating disorders, including anorexia nervosa, bulimia nervosa, atypical anorexia, and avoidant/restrictive food intake disorder (ARFID). Common comorbidities include anxiety, depression, obsessive-compulsive disorder, and trauma-related symptoms. 
  • Fellows’ clinical experience is focused on higher levels of care (inpatient and partial hospitalization), with intensive outpatient and outpatient care also provided within the program. Services include individual, family, and group therapies, parent education, diagnostic assessment, behavioral programming, and participation in an interdisciplinary treatment environment. 
  • This position is based at the campus in Plano, TX

Our fellows are eligible for an educational allowance of up to $1,000 annually, which may be used for licensure preparation and fees as well as conference attendance. A one-time relocation allotment is provided upon starting the program for fellows who are moving from more than 50 miles away. Fellows receive a comprehensive benefits package, which includes Paid Time Off (at an accrual rate of 7.7 hours/biweekly pay period, or approximately 25 days/year), as well as health insurance, prescription coverage, vision and dental insurance, and retirement savings plans. In addition to regular Paid Time Off, fellows are eligible for up to 10 paid education days per year for conferences, job interviews, taking the EPPP, and other professionally relevant activities. Children’s covers the cost of premiums for basic life insurance, basic AD&D coverage, and short and long-term disability insurance, and matches employee dependent care savings contributions at 25%, up to $1000/year. Fellows are also eligible for other employee savings programs, including discounts on services and products and subsidized regional public transit passes. Children’s covers the cost of professional liability insurance for psychology fellows.

Opportunities are available for postdoctoral fellows to be involved in program development and research through fellow-directed project.
