The Clinical Health Psychology Fellowship is a two-year postdoctoral fellowship (APA accredited and an APPIC-Member). The Clinical Health Psychology Fellowship aims to develop the knowledge and skills to clinically apply and research the interconnection between behavioral, emotional, cognitive, sociocultural, and biological components in health and disease to promote functioning, quality of life, and well-being across individuals, families, and populations.

Graduates of our program build advanced competencies in clinical health psychology assessment, intervention, consultation, management/administration, research or program evaluation, supervision, teaching, and advocacy through major and minor rotation areas.

Each clinical health psychology fellow selects a major rotation area and minor rotations (major rotation areas can serve as minor rotations).

Major Rotations:

  • Family medicine residency education

  • Integrated Behavioral Health/primary care psychology

  • Onco-psychology

  • Pain rehabilitation

  • Transgender and intersex health

  • Weight management and bariatric surgery

Minor Rotations:

  • Menopause and sexual health

All rotations provide fellows with opportunities to receive and provide interprofessional education, practice, and research. Clinical health psychology fellows receive 30% protected research time (12hrs/week).

Upon graduating from our Clinical Health Psychology Fellowship, graduates of our program are eligible for board certification in clinical health psychology by the American Board of Professional Psychology. For additional information about our fellowship, please visit:
