Community Health Center of Southeastern Kansas (CHC/SEK) invites applicants for two 12 month postdoctoral fellowship in a busy integrated care center. CHC/SEK is proud to offer comprehensive medical, dental, behavioral health and pharmacy services to all individuals regardless of ability to pay. CHC/SEK boasts a variety of behavioral health services including psychiatry, psychology, school-based therapy, behavior health consultation and addiction treatment services. 

This fellowship is designed to prepare the psychologist for primary behavioral health care. We are proud to offer services in HPSA designated underserved rural communities. The postdoctoral fellow will work with the integrated health care team to deliver clinical mental health services. Primary duties include assessment and diagnosis, psychotherapy, psychological testing, and predoctoral supervision. Clinical supervision, educational presentations, and research activities may also be requested. Due to the comorbidity of substance use and behavioral health disorders, training for addictions certification will be provided within fellowship opportunity. 

This postdoctoral fellowship is structured to meet licensure requirements for postdoctoral supervision as outlined by the Behavioral Sciences Regulatory Board in the state of Kansas, and may be similar to licensure requirements in other states. This position will include clinical and nonclinical experience as required for licensure in Kansas. Supervision will consist of two hours of face to face consultation with a Kansas Licensed Psychologist each week. Emphasis will be placed on multidisciplinary treatment team engagement, diversified patient population, and utilization of a variety of treatment techniques and theories.

Eligible for CHC SEK benefit program including Health Insurance, Retirement, Paid Time Off, and Continuing Medical Education which can be utilized for E-PPP study material. Clinical schedule will consist of 24 patient facing hours with the remainder spent in quality improvement, program development, and/or research opportunities. Training for Clinical Addiction Counselor Certification will be offered to interested candidates.
