At Copa Health, postdoctoral residents will collaborate with senior providers and multidisciplinary treatment staff in a large, urban, fast-paced integrated community mental health setting. The program offers a generalist training track consisting of distinct rotations, with an emphasis on integrated health and psychotherapy with individuals diagnosed with developmental disabilities and/or designated as seriously mentally ill (SMI). Postdoctoral training experiences are currently being offered at one of our Integrated Health Clinics (or one Outpatient Clinic), with secondary rotations in ADHD Testing, Leadership Development, Voyager Center Transitional Youth Residential Program, or Staff Training and Development. Postdoctoral residents carry out professional duties at Copa Health that include conducting intake assessments, providing clinical interventions (primarily individual and group therapy), developing and facilitating novel intervention programs (e.g., specialized groups), and offering consultation as members of multidisciplinary treatment teams. Residents will also provide supervision to practicum students and co-facilitate group supervision for interns and/or practicum students, as well as develop continuing education trainings for licensed professionals through the Copa Learning Academy, an APA- and NBCC-accredited continuing education sponsor.
