Spectrum Psychology and Wellness is a group private practice with two locations in the southeast valley of the Phoenix Metro area. It was formed to meet the holistic needs of our community. Our approach is strength-based and person-centered. Our practitioners have a variety of specialties that span all ages and stages of life. We specialize in therapy and do not offer assessment or testing services at our practice.

Working closely with a team of interdisciplinary mental health providers, residents will develop a professional therapy caseload while managing the administrative responsibilities of private practice. They will offer comprehensive intake assessments, individualized diagnostic summaries from a biopsychosocial lens, collaborative, holistic, strength-based treatment plans, and evidence-based psychotherapeutic care. They will be able to focus on working with preferred age ranges, as well as a variety of presenting issues. There are learning opportunities in group therapy and EHR systems, as well as specialized learning areas of health psychology, trauma, eating disorders, holistic sexuality, chronic pain, and geropsychology. The training focuses on learning about creating and running a therapy private practice while continuing to develop your professional autonomy. There is weekly clinical individual supervision, group supervision, case conferences, and monthly educational didactics. The ideal candidate will be able to work well with others while also being self-motivated, organized, passionate about helping patients and wanting to have a career in private practice.

Since we are a small private practice and take insurance, we offer a lower stipend than cash pay, assessment based practices, or government-subsidized practices may. However, we provide an opportunity to be mentored in growing your private practice from the ground up, from a business and marketing understanding to clinical caseload management based on your theoretical orientation, interests, and specialties. Many of our residents to date have chosen to stay with Spectrum following their post-doctoral residency, maintaining their caseload as independent contractors under the business model we help you design, build and grow during your residency. Please feel free to reach out if you would like to speak with any of our former residents!

This site offers 100% therapy experiences, as well as Individual and Group Supervision. Case Conferences are also offered.

Applications will be accepted until the position is filled.
