Insights Psychology is an outpatient mental health private practice located in Woodbury, MN. Our second practice location is in Bloomington, MN. 

We are a multidisciplinary team of clinicians including psychologists (6), psychiatrist (1), licensed therapist (1), and psychology trainees (post-doctoral residents and doctoral practicum students). 

We specialize in psychotherapy and psychological assessment services and seek three clinical/counseling psychology postdoctoral residents for the 2024-2025 training year. 

The post-doctoral residents will build a full time case load (approximately 25 client contact hours per week), with the rest of the time spent in documentation, coordination of client care, training, individual supervision, and case consultation/group supervision. They will be hired as a W-2 employee. 

Our site will be ideal for a post doctoral resident who would like to learn about being a provider in a private practice setting and potentially transition to a private practice setting post licensure. There will be an opportunity to join our team of licensed providers upon completion of the post-doctoral year and when fully licensed. .

  • Clinical activities include psychotherapy (individual, couples, family), and psychological assessment (e.g. ADHD evaluations, learning disability evaluations, Autism Spectrum disorder evaluations, Pre-surgical Bariatric assessments, kidney donor psychological evaluations, general mental health evaluations, disability evaluations) in a private practice setting. 
  • Post doctoral residents will have the opportunity to work across age ranges 
  • Our psychologists have competence in Trauma therapy modalities include EMDR, ART, TF-CBT. Other therapy modalities include Person Centered therapy, Motivational Interviewing, IFS, and ACT. 
  • Post docs may provide supervision to doctoral practicum students completing their clinical training at Insights Psychology. Gain experience in clinical supervision/mentoring if this is an area of interest. 
  • Option to offer clinical services in a hybrid format (in person or virtual using a HIPAA compliant telehealth platform). 

  • The post-doctoral residents may work a four day schedule if desired. Flexibility in schedule depending on the needs of the applicant.

  • We will provide all aspects of a clinical practice including a furnished office space, computer/laptop, printer, access to electronic health record, HIPAA compliant telehealth platform for secure telehealth sessions with clients, secure email/fax/phone, marketing/client referrals, psychological testing supplies. 

  • One hour of individual supervision per week will be with a licensed psychologist. The second hour of supervision will be with a doctoral level provider in group format. 

  • Weekly case consultation meetings with licensed clinical psychologists, therapists and psychiatrists. 
  • Release time to study for psychology licensure exam.
  • The post-doc will have a choice between a set annual salary (with the option of bonus pay based on productivity) OR have higher income potential by taking a salary based on percentage of revenue generated from client contact hours, which typically is in the range of $4000 and $7000 per month with an average of about $5000 per month once your caseload is full.

Required Qualifications: - Completion of a doctorate degree in Psychology (PsyD or PhD) - Experience or training working with across age ranges (children, adolescents, and adults) is highly desirable. -Applicants must be US citizens, permanent residents, or have a visa to work. - There will be an on-boarding process for post-doctoral residents. - Post-doctoral residents will get PTO & 401K match. . -We have started the process of APPIC accreditation and plan to be enrolled as an APPIC site by 2024.
