Insights Psychology is an outpatient mental health private practice located in Saint Paul, MN. We specialize in psychotherapy and psychological assessment services and seek one clinical/counseling psychology postdoctoral resident for the 2022-2023 training year. The post-doctoral resident will build a full time case load (approximately 25 client contact hours per week) and have 15 hours for documentation time, training, supervision, and case consultation/group supervision as a W-2 employee. 

Our site will be ideal for a post doctoral resident who would like to learn about being a provider in a private practice setting and potentially transition to a private practice setting post licensure. There will be an opportunity to stay on and join our team of licensed providers upon completion of post-doc. 

  • Clinical activities include psychotherapy (individual, couples, family), psychological assessments (e.g. Pre-surgical Bariatric assessments, general mental health evaluations, disability evaluations) in a private practice setting. 

  • Option to offer clinical services in a hybrid format (in person or virtual using a HIPAA compliant telehealth platform). 
  • The post-doctoral resident may work a four day schedule if desired. Start date for the post-doc is listed as September 1, 2022, but we are flexible with the start date depending on the needs of the applicant. 

  • We will provide all aspects of a clinical practice including a furnished office space, computer, printer, access to electronic health record, HIPAA compliant telehealth platform for secure telehealth sessions with clients, fax/phone, marketing/client referrals, psychological testing supplies, and billing for services. 

  • Two hours of supervision per week will be provided as part of employment. One hour will be with a MN licensed psychologist. The second supervision hour could be by another mental health professional or in group format. 

  • Weekly case consultation with licensed clinical psychologists.

  • Release time to study for psychology licensure exam.

  • Annual stipend is based on percentage of revenue generated from client contact hours for clinical services provided under supervision. Monthly stipend is in the range of $3000 - $5000 per month once the post-doc’s caseload is full. Average annual stipend is $42,000 (range: $38,000 - $50,000).

Required Qualifications: - Completion of a doctorate degree in Psychology (PsyD or PhD) - Experience or training working with across age ranges (children, adolescents, and adults) is preferred. -Applicants must be US citizens, permanent residents, or have a visa to work. - There will be an on-boarding process for post-doctoral residents. - Post-doctoral resident will get up to three weeks unpaid time off and unpaid federal holidays. Medical/dental benefits are not provided. As a W-2 employee, the post-docs may be eligible for 401K match.
