Axis for Autism is a network of specialty clinics providing toddlers through adults with the right care at the right time through timely diagnosis from a team of caring and compassionate experts and easy access to resources and professionals who can support them on the autism journey. Given the high-level of comorbidity of diagnoses with autism, the resident encounters a wide range of developmental, cognitive, behavioral health and medical issues. The post-doctoral resident works as part of a team to provide solutions for families on a daily basis. The resident will gain expertise in autism assessment techniques (including formal ADOS-2 training, MIGDAS-2 clinical interviewing, behavior rating scales, and cognitive assessment) as well as treatment planning across the lifespan. Axis for Autism serves a diverse population with highly intersectional backgrounds, including refugees. Axis for Autism is neurodivergence affirming and LGBTQIA+ affirming. Most families are Medicaid recipients. Axis values patient- and family-centered care and data-based decision making. The resident works traditional office hours. Special company or community events may occur on evenings or weekends.
The Resident's time will consist of 50% Testing and evaluation, 20% Consultation/Intervention/Therapy, 10% Report Writing
This site offers Individual and Group Supervision, Case Conferences, and Rounds.
